Apecoin DAO Agrees to Fund a Newscast Based on Bored Monkey – Bitcoin News


Members of the Apecoin DAO community have approved a governance proposal that will fund a newsletter focused on Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) called Bored Ape Gazette at $150,000 for the first year. While Bored Ape Gazette has been in operation since June 1, 2021, the site’s operator promises to “keep the community better informed” of plans to “step up” news coverage of the boring monkey.

Apecoin DAO Funds News Site Focused on Bored Monkeys for 12 Months

Apecoin DAO members hired their newsletter for 12 months as per governance proposal AIP-70. According to the proposal, the operator of the news site Bored Monkey Newspaper “It has grown exponentially over the past year,” the post says.

The publication’s operator insists that it is “committed to building a reliable source of information for this community and would like to expand operations to include continuous research, analysis and reporting across the ecosystem.”

Sole writer and editor figures for the Bored Ape Gazette will cost $150,000 for the next 12 months of operation and the money will go toward “covering everything for the monkey that will go up from 1-2 stories per day to 3-5.” Bored Ape Gazette will focus on keeping the Apecoin DAO community “better informed” as the owner intends to craft “biweekly newsletters and in-depth reporting.”

The Bored Ape Gazette plans to conduct interviews with AIP authors and interviews with community members discussing specific governance proposals. The Apecoin DAO Community and Governance System uses apecoin crypto assets (APE). The digital currency is currently the 34th in terms of market capitalization and the total market capitalization of APE today is just over $2 billion.

Over the past 30 days, the APE has gained 44% against the USD, but is down 74% from the all-time high of the crypto asset of $26.70. The Bored Ape Gazette’s coverage delves into a great deal of BAYC-focused news, in general, that discusses topics related to all things ape.

News coverage includes categories such as ‘Celebrity Apes’, ‘Club News’, ‘Roadmap 2.0’ and ‘Featured Sales’. Besides BAYC, the publication also covers topics such as NFTs, Meetbits, Yuga Labs, Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC), and NFT.

Similar stats Turns out The Bored Ape Gazette has a global website rating of 865,175 and has seen 52.4 thousand visits. Site visits were down 45.68% from the previous month with Taiwan and the United States being the largest traffic areas for the news site.
